Carbon and Climate Discussion Group

The Carbon and Climate Discussion Group (C-DOG) is an informal ad hoc gathering where we can share new ideas, results, or problems. One goal of C-DOG is to stimulate discussion on the development and application of methods (numerical or analytical) and tracers (e.g. radiocarbon) in the Earth and environmental sciences, as well as cognate fields such as archaeology.

Meetings are organised on an ad hoc basis. These are informal, and are intended to serve as a platform for friendly and engaged discussion, typically built around a recent publication, or a short presentation, or indeed a pair of juxtaposed presentations, by volunteer participants and/or invited outside speakers.

Please note that C-DOGs is not a seminar series. It is basically a ‘group meeting’, but with a more open door than is usually the case for such things. As such, anyone is welcome to join us, though participants are expected to participate in exchange and discussion, and therefore to volunteer now and then to bring a slide to show, a paper to discuss, etc.

If you are interested in participating in the discussion group and receive updates on our activities, please get in touch (lcs32 at cam).

We usually meet in Harker 2, Thursdays @ 4pm.
